2D TO 3D
PixProcessing processes digital images to produce photorealistic and highly detailed 3D models. Photographs serve as a basic material for the acquisition of a 3D graphical view.
The reconstruction of a 3D model takes only a few steps:
- a point cloud;
- a dense point cloud;
- a surface mesh;
- a textured mesh.
Digital elevation map (DEM) gives a detailed altitude view of the Earth‘s relief. It provides the exact heightmap of the object.
Set the measurement system according to your need – metric or imperial. Instantly acquire the values for the selected feature/keypoint on the map.
Fine resolution DEM visualises the explorable object in the preferred colour range.
True orthophoto precisely represents the surface of the explored object/territory. It displays the actual view of the surface/terrain without any visual distortions.
The orthophoto is a 3D map in every angle and ratio.
Measurements of precise, true distances are performed via true orthophotos.
Pixprocessing projects are easily bound to the preferred coordinate system:
- choose a coordinate system or accept the default one,
- add a GCP,
- adjust its coordinates,
- view the GCPs on the selected project layer or the map.
The photos EXIF tags can also serve as the georeferencing basis for your project.
The software allows to acquire the values almost instantly – just add the graphical objects and the software does the calculations automatically.
All the graphical elements can be conveniently visualised:
Points – Coordinates;
Lines – 2D and 3D perimeter;
Surfaces – 2D perimeter and 2D area, 3D perimeter and 3D area, 3D volume, height and base area.
3D volume comparison
The comparison of the consecutive measurements allows acquiring detailed calculations of the carried-out surface alterations. Having the pre- and post- surface alterations reconstructed, the comparison of the two DSMs exposes the detailed data about the change in volume and displays the changes in 3D mode.
The profile depicts the terrain surface in the cross-section mode. It provides the altitude and distance measurements, and even the slightest inclinations/rises in height. The profile viewer unrolls the overview of the measured line/distance and allows to select the segment within the selected perimeter/distance to measure the altitude between the two points.
The bounding box option allows selecting the area/object on the 3D model and generating the digital elevation map for the specific selected item. The use of the bounding box allows increasing the accuracy of the reconstructed part of the object with even more accurate ground sampling distance which ensures further meticulous calculations.
Base Plane selection
The selection of the base plane avails viewing the object in respect with various altitude levels within the selected surface. The selection of the surface plane type allows more detailed inspection and analysis of the terrain. Depending on the surface specification, the surface plane can be displayed according to the height or based on the selected digital elevation map.
Numerous import and export formats make the data managing and transition easy and flexible.
The PixProcessing project files are compatible with the existing CAD software.
