Dense Point Cloud generation
Dense point clouds are the key elements in creating a 3D mesh from the original 2D footage. Denser 3D point clouds result in better visualization and positioning, though may require more powerful machines and consume more time.
Digital elevation model (DEM) provides detailed terrain information. This layer is useful for 2D/3D measurement step.
Though most up-to-date UAVs have on-board cameras to obtain the geotagged images, some professional projects need high-end accuracy. In such case, one can add GCPs from his/her RTK GPS device.
GCP (Ground Control Points) are used to lock your object data into the local coordinate system. It also plays an essential role in comparing the same object in different time lapse. Save time and simplify the comparison process by easily setting the initial GCPs and memorizing it for the future projects.

Make your reports more expressive by highlighting elements that you need. Use different colours, bald option, different element format to accentuate its importance. Moreover, you can select the separate objects/elements to point out, no matter if it is in a set or drawn separately.
It is a great tool to showcase the height variation of the object. You can easily variate:
Colour ramp pallete / Colour change scale / Texture options
Shadowing option is a crucial feature when dealing with converging objects as it quickly accentuates the surface irregularities.
Min and max height value selection of the histogram enables a better visualization of the object elements in the selected height level.
Hole-filling is very important when dealing with initial 3D model preparation for further object analysis and various simulations. There are 3 hole-filling options:
- Initial (internal). Generated automatically at the 3D object creation phase. It completes all possible inconsistencies due to fluctuations in the scanned data.
- External. Usually performed by the program user and consists of selecting the necessary “holes” to be filled in. Essential in project preparation for further analysis
- Smart. Also performed by the program user, and is usually used for further object analysis, measurements and various simulations.
Create neat 3D models by excluding unnecessary information. Eliminate unnecessary objects using the flattening option:
- Averaging – selected object is eliminated by bringing the average of the surface on which it stands.
- Flattening to the minimum point – this alternative allows you to delete everything that is up to the lowest point of the selected object.
A bounding box appears around selected object in a non-Wireframe viewport. It enables viewing and management of the selected area / element / part of the 3D model without unnecessary data.
COMPREHENSIVE CONTOUR-LINE MANAGEMENT
Advanced Contour-Line Drawing
Wide range of options for operating with the contour lines. You can select whether to draw:
– A set of contour lines by defining the necessary spacing between the lines;
– Each contour line separately without a need to submit spaces between different lines.
Advanced Contour-Line Management
Draw a separate contour line to showcase the needed level. It is a very useful feature providing visibility of the specific element level.
Easily drag it up and down, till you find the suitable height. Add new contour lines one by one. Highlight only those that you need. Measure the distance between the selected contour-lines.
